Welcome back to another update of AATF! Today’s fun fact is a twofer.

There are two types of kaolite- Standard, and non-Standard/”impure.” Standard kaolite, which Aster referred to in a previous page, is refined to city-mandated guidelines for the safety of the public, and is used widely. Non-standard kaolite is not refined to a safety standard and may contain impurities (referring to this in the geological sense) that make the crystal unstable, and is banned from legal use. HOWEVER, as you will soon see, that does not mean it isn’t in high demand.

(If you haven’t noticed already, I illustrate non-Standard kaolite as well as magic with color! Almost like they’re related, hmm…)

The second fact is that most people cannot tell the difference between standard and non-standard kaolite! Only Mages (like Aster and Jember) and people with the right equipment (like Messi) can do so.

Now I just have to incorporate all of this into the comic…easy peasy lemon squeezy
