Additional notes: Afewerke’s patron during this time was Sidra Mengistu, father of Siddi Mengistu. It was held in the Mengistu household for 75 years before being transported to the Nine Council Hall in 9XX A.F., who generously donated it to the National Museum for safekeeping.

Welcome back and thank y’all for being so patient during the hiatus! We’re starting off Chapter 2 with a little flashback (a prologue, if you will)! Those who have been paying attention to world lore will hopefully find this section enlightening.
A quick content warning for this chapter: please note that there will be some violence, gore, and depictions of mass death (adults and children) in this prologue. There will also be some violence in the main chapter proper. I’ll be letting you know which pages have it ahead of time (starting with the next page…lol), and labeling pages that have major triggers accordingly. As someone who generally gets squeamish around horror and war stuff, it’s the least I can do for my readers!
