Prologue II: Page 6
The Goddess’ Promise
Creator: Meseret Menelik
Date: 8XX A.F.
Materials and tools: Oil and acrylic paint on wood. Sable bristle paintbrushes.
Description: Diptych of the Creation of Miya 6: Arrival at Miya.
Additional Notes:
1. Though Aweke and her clan first arrived in the Kaolite Valley around 523 A.F., Miya was not recognized as a country by surrounding states until 526 A.F., when the settlement was first officially documented by the traveling Afar Nations. However, it is likely that Aweke’s clan had made contact with the Nations and surrounding tribes as early as 524 A.F., as the National Barrier was not erected until 528 A.F., right after the first official Clan elections.
2. This painting was damaged during the terrorist attack that took place at the National Museum in 9XX A.F.. It was restored with acrylic paint due to a shortage of oil paint and the appropriate cleaning supplies.

This is the end of this section of the Prologue (which I have been calling the storybook section for a while now, lol). Getting back to (relative) normalcy next week! See you then!
