Welcome to another week of Aster and the Fire!!! I hope everybody is having a good Pride Month so far, whether you're a part of the queer community or an ally. I'm hoping to attend a pride event in my city-if it happens it'll be the first time I ever go! Let me know if you're going to an event in the comments below.
In terms of other life stuff, things are going well--this week, one of my grad school papers just got accepted for publication in a journal! I'm going to be a first author!!! A win for STEM gays everywhere <3 Now, if I could just get a goddamn job...
Also-general announcement! SpiderForest, the webcomic collective I am a part of, is opening up for applications starting this upcoming Monday, June 10! It'll run for about a month-more information can be found here.

Pride Month may be here, but the siege on Gaza is as well. Check out this week's fundraiser down below:
Urgent Appeal: Evacuate My Family from Gaza
Enas, a Gazan currently living in Australia, is trying to evacuate his family out of Gaza. This is a particularly time-sensitive one, as his mother is currently suffering from a brain tumor that was supposed to be operated on back in October! If you can spare a minute, please help this family out.
This fundraiser is vetted by the grassroots organization Operation Olive Branch. If you’d like to search for a fundraiser yourself on their site, here is the link.
