Welcome back to another chapter of Aster and the Fire!Starting off with a flashback, as is tradition at this point.

First of all, you may notice that there are some changes to the website! I recently had to switch comic management systems and themes due to the Webcomic plugin permanently malfunctioning with the latest WordPress updates. I now use the Toocheke theme (and its accompanying CMS)-it took a little while to set up, but thanks to the helpful Toocheke staff and admin at SpiderForest, I managed to make it functional! I am still working on tweaking some things (thinking about adding a static homepage, for starters), so if you notice anything strange, please let me know! Also, I added some new information to the Cast page in light of this chapter...make sure to go all the way to the end ;)

Second of all, thank you for your patience as I took time off from the webcomic to focus on family issues (attending a funeral while supporting your family’s grief is Not Fun), job changes (I had to move work sites and it’s a longer commute now 😒), and an international family reunion! It’s been a Lot, and will continue to be a Lot *glances nervously at the trash Fire that is politics and the job market rn* but at least I won’t have any more major derailments for the time being, which means I can focus on the comic! I have the entire flashback thumbnailed and am working on finishing the next few pages, so hopefully three should be no more interruptions! I’m really excited to present the next chapter to you-the story is really going to ramp up, now that Rakhi and co. are fully in the picture. I hope you enjoy it!
